세종시가 2024년 스마트도시 국내 인증을 획득하며 스마트시티 분야에서의 우수성을 다시 한번 인정받았다.
이번 인증은 국토교통부가 주관하는 것으로, 국내 도시의 스마트화 수준을 체계적으로 진단하기 위해 혁신성, 거버넌스·제도, 기술·기반시설 등 53개 지표에 대한 평가를 통해 우수한 기관을 선정하는 제도이다.
세종시는 이미 2018년 스마트시티 국제인증(ISO 37106)에서 레벨 3(성숙단계)와 2020년 레벨 4(선도단계)를 세계 최초로 획득한 바 있으며, 이번 국내 인증을 통해 국내외에서 우수한 스마트 도시임을 다시 한번 입증했다.
이번 평가에서 세종시는 시민 소통과 참여를 지원하는 ‘세종 시티앱’, 86종의 도시 데이터를 수집하고 실시간으로 제공하는 ‘세종엔’, 스마트 기술을 활용한 안전도시 구현을 위한 도시통합정보센터, 첨단 모빌리티 선도 등 시민 편의 스마트서비스 부문에서 높은 점수를 받았다.
또한, 스마트도시 총괄 관리체계 운영을 통한 전체 스마트도시 사업 성과 관리와 국가시범도시에 도입될 모빌리티 시범운영, 빅데이터 개방형 플랫폼을 통한 대시민 데이터 제공 등에서도 우수한 평가를 받았다.
