진주시 농기계임대사업소, 전국 우수 운영기관 선정

[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시 농기계임대사업소가 농림축산식품부·한국농촌경제연구원 주관 전국 농기계임대사업소 평가에서 우수 운영기관으로 선정돼 농촌진흥청장 표창을 수상했다고 4일 밝혔다.

한국농촌경제연구원은 임대 농기계 비율 등 총 21개 세부 평가 항목을 바탕으로 농기계임대사업소의 운영 성과와 농업인을 위한 지원 노력을 종합적으로 심사해 평가 결과를 발표했다.

진주시 농기계임대사업소는 지난 2019년 4월 사업을 시작해 초기부터 타 지역의 운영 사례를 철저히 분석하고, 관내 농업인의 수요를 면밀히 조사해 운영 효율성을 극대화했다.

특히 시는 농작업에 활용 빈도가 높은 농기계 위주로 확보해 유휴 농기계를 최소화하고 밭농사용 농기계 비율을 확대해 농업 현장에 실질적인 도움을 제공했다.

농업기술센터 기술지원과 김선희 과장은 “직원들이 타 지역의 수요조사 및 사례를 철저히 분석해 좋은 성과를 얻었다”며“앞으로도 농민들에게 다양한 지원을 위해 시책을 발굴해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편 진주시 농기계임대사업소는 남부, 중부, 동부 3개 권역에서 운영해 올해 11월 말 기준 7663건 임대,1022건 배송실적으로 최근 3년간 임대율이 매년 15%씩 증가하고 있다.

Jinju City Agricultural Machinery Rental Business Office announced on the 4th that it was selected as an excellent operating organization in the nationwide agricultural machinery rental business evaluation hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Rural Economic Institute and received the Rural Development Administration Commissioner's Award.

The Korea Rural Economic Institute comprehensively reviewed the operational performance of the agricultural machinery rental business office and its support efforts for farmers based on a total of 21 detailed evaluation items, including the rental agricultural machinery ratio, and announced the evaluation results.

Jinju City Agricultural Machinery Rental Business Office started its business in April 2019 and thoroughly analyzed operational cases in other regions from the beginning and closely investigated the needs of farmers in the region to maximize operational efficiency.

In particular, the city secured mainly agricultural machinery that is frequently used for farming work, minimized idle agricultural machinery, and expanded the ratio of agricultural machinery for field farming, providing practical assistance to the agricultural field.

Kim Seon-hee, head of the Agricultural Technology Center’s Technology Support Team, said, “Our employees thoroughly analyzed demand surveys and cases from other regions and achieved good results,” adding, “We will continue to develop policies to provide diverse support to farmers.”
