【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시는 4일 더케이호텔에서 자원봉사자들의 소통과 화합을 다지는 2024년 경주시 자원봉사자대회를 개최했다.

(사)경주시종합자원봉사센터 주관으로 개최된 이번 행사에는 주낙영 경주시장, 이동협 시의회 의장, 정용석 한국수력원자력 기획본부장을 비롯한 정석호 이사장 및 친절한경자씨 등 700여 명이 참석했다.
대회는 오는 5일 자원봉사자의 날을 맞이해 ‘빛나는 8만 명의 밝은 미소, 경주를 세계의 중심으로 이끌다!’ 라는 주제로 자원봉사자들의 사기를 높이고 시민들의 자원봉사활동 참여를 높이기 위해 마련됐다.
친절한경자씨의 활약상을 담은 영상 상영을 시작으로 유공자 표창, MOU체결 및 한수원 사랑ON 밥차 전달식, 자원봉사 결의 퍼포먼스, 힐링 음악회 순으로 진행됐다.
먼저 시상은 경북도지사, 경주시장, 국회의원, 시의회 의장 등 10개 부문에서 총 81명의 친절한경자씨가 표창을 받았다.
이어 경주시, 한국수력원자력, 경주시종합자원봉사센터 3개 기관은 MZ세대 봉사활동, APEC 사회공헌활동 등 지역 봉사 활성화를 위한 업무협약을 가졌다.
특히 한수원에서 자원봉사센터로 ‘사랑ON 밥차’ 전달식도 함께 진행돼 행사의 의미를 더했다.
마지막으로 어울림한마당에서는 힐링 음악회와 경품추첨을 통해 올 한해 고생한 자원봉사자들을 응원하는 시간을 가졌다.
주낙영 시장은 “경주의 크고 작은 행사나 재난 발생 현장에는 항상 자원봉사자들이 있었다”라며 “앞으로도 변함없는 열정으로 지역사회를 이끌어 주시길 부탁드리며, 경주시도 자원봉사자들이 더욱 안전하고 활발한 활동을 펼칠 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않을 것”이라고 말했다.
한편, 이번 행사는 한국수력원자력㈜, NH농협은행 경주시지부, DGB금융그룹의 후원으로 진행됐다.

Gyeongju City, Volunteer Competition and Harmony Festival Completed

First, 81 Kind Kyungjas received awards in 10 categories, including the Governor of Gyeongbuk Province, Mayor of Gyeongju, National Assembly members, and City Council Speakers.
Next, Gyeongju City, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, and Gyeongju City Volunteer Center signed a business agreement to promote local volunteer activities, such as MZ generation volunteer activities and APEC social contribution activities.
In particular, the event was made more meaningful by delivering the ‘Love ON Food Truck’ from Hanwha Solutions to the Volunteer Center.
Lastly, at the Awoolim Hanmadang, a healing concert and a prize drawing were held to cheer on the volunteers who worked hard throughout the year.
Mayor Joo Nak-young said, “There have always been volunteers at large and small events and disaster sites in Gyeongju,” and added, “I ask that you continue to lead the local community with unchanging passion, and Gyeongju City will not spare support so that volunteers can carry out safer and more active activities.”
