충남 당진시(시장 오성환)는 5일 당진시청 대강당에서 ‘충남 해양수산 미래비전 선포식’을 성공적으로 개최했다고 밝혔다.
행사에는 김태흠 충남도지사, 오성환 당진시장, 도내 국회의원 및 도의원과 시장, 군수, 해양수산부 수산정책관, 해양수산 관련 기관 및 단체 대표 등 700여 명이 참석했으며 '지속 가능한 해양 경제 실현 방안'을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.
이번 선포식에서 충남도는 ‘미래를 품은 바다, 블루엔진 충남’이라는 비전을 제시하는 한편, 2035년까지 약 13조 6,343억 원을 투자해 ▲깨끗하고 건강한 해양 환경 조성 ▲돈이 되는 바다 생활권 ▲해양레저관광 중심지로 도약 ▲해양수산 통합 기술 선도 프로젝트 ▲항만의 지역경제 활성화의 5대 전략 및 15개 핵심 과제 추진에 전력을 다할 것임을 선언했다.
김태흠 지사는 “2035년까지 총 13조 6343억 원을, 민선8기인 2026년까지는 1조 2559억 원을 들여 충남 해양산업의 미래를 설계하고 실현하겠다”며 “2035년 충남의 바다는 어업 총생산량 연 21만 톤, 수산물 수출 3억 달러, 어가 소득 연 8200만 원, 항만 물동량 6억 톤을 기록하며 충남의 해양 경제지도가 새로 쓰여지고, 대한민국의 미래를 바꿀 것”이라고 강조했다.
오성환 당진시장은 “당진이 충남 해양수산 발전의 중심지로서 중요한 역할을 담당하게 된 것을 기쁘게 생각하며, 이를 바탕으로 당진항과 지역경제 활성화를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
