6일 여론조사 업체 한국갤럽이 지난 3~5일 만 18세 이상 남녀 1001명을 대상으로 한 '윤 대통령 직무 수행 평가'에서 '잘하고 있다'는 16%, '잘못하고 있다'는 75%로 나왔다.
그러나 비상계엄 사태 여파가 반영되는 4~5일 집계 기준으로만 보면 긍정평가 13%, 부정평가는 80%였다.
비상계엄 사태가 반영되지 않은 3일 조사에선 긍정 19%, 부정 68%로 집계됐으나, 사태 후인 4~5일 집계에선 긍정 13%로 6%p 떨어졌고, 부정평가는 12%p나 증가했다.
윤 대통령 직무수행 긍정 평가 이유로는 외교(32%), 열심히 한다·최선을 다한다(12%), 경제·민생(5%), 국방·안보, 전반적으로 잘한다(이상 4%) 순으로 꼽았다.
반면 부정 평가자는 경제·민생·물가(19%), 비상계엄 사태(16%), 전반적으로 잘못한다(8%), 소통 미흡(7%), 김건희 여사 문제(6%), 독단적·일방적(5%), 경험·자질 부족 무능함(4%), 통합·협치 부족, 외교, 부정부패·비리'(이상 3%) 등을 이유로 들었다.
한국갤럽 관계자는 이번 대통령 직무 평가에 대해 "비상계엄 사태 전후로 뚜렷한 차이를 보였다"면서 "이는 국정농단 사태 초기인 2016년 10월 넷째 주 당시 박근혜 대통령의 대국민 사과 전후 양상과 흡사하다"고 평가했다.
갤럽 여론조사 기준, 박근혜 전 대통령은 2016년 10월 말 대국민사과 이후 긍정평가는 14%를 기록했으며 같은해 12월 직무정지 당시 긍정평가는 5%에 그쳤다.
이 관계자는 이어 "부정 평가 이유에서 경제·민생 다음으로 '비상계엄 사태'가 많이 언급됐는데, 조사기간(3~5일)과 사태 발생 시점(3일 밤 이후)을 고려하면 사실상 계엄이 가장 주목되는 사안이라고 봐도 무방할 것"이라고 설명했다.
