신한라이프가 임직원 물품 기부 캠페인 ‘Give N Life’를 진행했다. 이 캠페인은 발달장애인 일자리 창출과 자립 지원을 목표로 하며, 지난 3일부터 4일까지 밀알복지재단 굿윌스토어와 함께 열렸다.
‘Give N Life’ 캠페인에서는 임직원들이 의류, 도서, 잡화, 생활용품 등 판매 가능한 물품을 모아 굿윌스토어에 기부했다. 이를 통해 장애인에게 일자리를 제공하고, 자원 선순환을 통해 환경도 보호하는 취지로 기획되었다.
임직원들이 기부한 물품은 굿윌스토어 직원들이 상품화 작업을 거쳐 판매될 예정이다. 판매 수익금은 신한라이프가 캠페인과 연계해 전달한 2천만 원의 후원금과 함께 발달장애인 고용 확대 지원에 사용될 계획이다.
신한라이프는 지난 7월에도 임직원 참여형 ‘리사이클(Re:CYCLE)’ 자원순환 캠페인을 통해 서울시 우리동네키움센터와 연계하여 돌봄 아동 300여 명을 위한 ‘마음일기 KIT’를 제작하고 미술상담 프로그램을 진행한 바 있다.
신한라이프 관계자는 “임직원의 꾸준한 참여 덕분에 일회성 행사에 그치지 않고 취약계층을 위한 다양한 나눔을 이어갈 수 있어 더욱 뜻깊다”며, “앞으로도 지역사회와 연계한 사회공헌활동을 통해 지속적으로 ESG 경영을 실천해 나가겠다”고 전했다.

Shinhan Life held the 'Give N Life' campaign to donate goods to the developmentally disabled. The campaign, which aims to create jobs for the developmentally disabled and support their independence, was held in conjunction with the Milleal Welfare Foundation Goodwill Store from March 3 to 4.
In the 'Give N Life' campaign, employees collected saleable items such as clothing, books, miscellaneous goods, and household goods and donated them to the Goodwill Store. The campaign was designed to provide jobs for people with disabilities and protect the environment through a virtuous cycle of resources.
The items donated by employees will be merchandised and sold by Goodwill Store employees. The proceeds from the sales, along with a donation of KRW 20 million from Shinhan Life in connection with the campaign, will be used to support the expansion of employment for people with developmental disabilities.
In July, Shinhan Life also partnered with Seoul's Woori Neighborhood Center through the Re:CYCLE resource recycling campaign to create 'heart diary kits' for more than 300 children in its care and conduct art counseling programs.
A representative from Shinhan Life said, “Thanks to the steady participation of our employees, it is even more meaningful that we were able to continue sharing various activities for the vulnerable, rather than just one-time events.” “We will continue to practice ESG management through social contribution activities linked to the local community,” he added.
