원자력환경공단, 2년 연속 ‘재난대응 안전한국훈련’ 우수기관 선정

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국원자력환경공단(이사장 조성돈)이 지난 11일 행정안전부 주관으로 열린 ‘2024년 재난대응안전한국훈련’평가에서 2년 연속 우수기관으로 선정됐다고 17일 밝혔다.

재난대응 안전한국훈련은 행정안전부의 기본계획에 따라 실시되는 재난대비 훈련으로 중앙부처, 지방자치단체, 공공기관 등 1,208개의 기관이 참여했다.

원자력환경공단은 지난 10월 29일 경주시, 경주소방서, 경주경찰서, 동국대학교 경주병원 등 10개 유관기관과 함께 중저준위 방폐장에서 발생할 수 있는지진으로 인한토사 무너짐 및 시설물 피해 발생, 이에 따른 사상자 발생상황 등 실제 재난 상황을 가정해 훈련을 수행했다.

조성돈 한국원자력환경공단 이사장은 “우수기관으로 선정된 것은 훈련에적극적으로 참여해 준 직원들과 유관기관의 노력 덕분”이라며, “지속적인훈련으로 재난대응체계의 개선 사항을 도출하고 보완하여 재난 상황에도안전한 방폐장 운영을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
