대전과학기술대학교(총장 이효인/ 이하 대전과기대) 간호학과는 한국간호교육평가원이 시행한 4주기 간호교육인증평가에서 5년 인증(2025년 6월11일부터 2030년 6월10일까지)을 획득했다고 밝혔다.
간호교육인증평가는 교육과정의 운영과 교육성과가 국가 및 간호전문직의 요구 수준에 부합하는지를 심사하는 제도로 교육부에서 지정한 한국간호교육평가원이 주관하고 있으며, 이번 평가에서 대전과기대 간호학과는 ▲비전과 운영체계 ▲교육과정 ▲학생 ▲교수 ▲시설과 설비 ▲교육성과 등 6개 전 영역에서 우수한 평가를 받았다.
한국간호교육평가원이 시행한 간호교육인증평가에서 지속적으로 5년 인증을 획득함으로써 학과의 교육과정 운영과 교육여건 및 성과들이 국가적으로나 사회적으로 전문간호사 양성에 부합됨을 공식적으로 인정받았으며, 간호를 선도할 수 있는 리더 양성에 이바지하고 있다.
84년의 오랜 역사를 자랑하고 있는 대전과기대 간호학과는 1940년 충청남도 대전 의원 부설 간호원 양성소를 시작으로 2012년 4년제 간호학과로 승격되어 학사학위과정을 운영하고 있고 현재까지 약 10,000여명의 간호 인력을 배출하여 국·내외 간호·보건·의료·행정 분야의 전문가 및 지도자로 활약하고 있다.
안은경 간호학부장은 “간호학과는 앞으로도 우수한 간호인재 양성의 요람으로서 시대의 요구에 부응한 통합적, 창의적, 능동적 간호인재를 양성하고, 전문지식과 실무역량을 갖춘 우수 인재를 배출할 수 있도록 노력하겠다“고 말했다.
한편, 대전과기대 간호학과는 ‘2024년도 제64회 간호사 국가시험’에서 수석합격자를 배출하여 학과 교육 품질의 우수성을 입증한 바 있다.
