충남 보령시농업기술센터가 20일 산성화된 토양을 개량하기 위해 2025년 4,320톤의 토양개량제를 공급한다고 밝혔다.
이번에 공급되는 토양개량제는 규산, 석회고토, 패화석으로 구성되어 있으며, 유효 규산 함량을 높여 토양의 지력을 유지하고 보전하는 역할을 하는 것으로 논토양의 경우 유효규산함량을 157ppm, 밭토양은 PH 6.5 이상으로 유지하도록 한다.
공급 지역은 남포면, 대천1~5동으로, 3년 주기로 이뤄지는 이번 공급은 영농기 이전 완료를 목표로 하고 있다.
농업경영체 등록 농가는 오는 2025년 2월 20일까지 농지 소재지 읍·면·동 행정복지센터를 통해 신청할 수 있다.
또한, 시는 고령화와 여성 농업인, 일손 부족 문제를 해결하기 위해 ‘토양개량제 공동살포운영위원회’를 통해 공동 살포 방식을 도입할 계획이며, 개량제 방치 문제를 해소하고 적재적소에 살포할 수 있는 여건을 마련해 토양 개량 효과를 극대화할 방침이다.
향후 공급 일정은 2026년 주포면, 주교면, 오천면, 천북면, 청소면, 청라면에 이어 2027년에는 웅천읍, 주산면, 미산면, 성주면으로 예정되어 있다.
