부여군, DSC 지역혁신플랫폼과 협력 통해 지역 활성화 성과 거둬

부여군은 대전세종충남혁신플랫폼(총괄대학 충남대학교, 이하 DSC 지역혁신플랫폼)과 협력하여 진행한 지역 활성화 프로젝트를 성공적으로 마무리했다고 24일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 지자체-대학 협력기반 지역혁신 사업(RIC)의 일환으로, 지역 현안 해결과 지역 인재 육성, 취·창업 지원 등을 통해 지속 가능한 지역 정주 기반을 마련하는 것을 목표로 했다.

2022년 4월 부여군과 충남대 간 업무협약을 체결한 이래, 군은 3년간 DSC 지역혁신플랫폼으로부터 약 3억 700만 원을 지원받아 14개의 세부 사업을 운영했다. 이를 통해 총 233명이 교육과정을 수료했고, 23명이 자격증을 취득했으며, 4명이 취업과 창업에 성공하는 성과를 거뒀다.

특히, 전 과정 무료로 진행된 소프트웨어 학습코디네이터 프로그램은 '경력단절 여성, 미취업 청년, 퇴직자'를 대상으로 소프트웨어 전문 강사를 양성해 지역 내 일자리와 연계하는 등 개인의 경쟁력 강화에 중점을 뒀다.

양성된 강사진은 부여군 내 29개 아동시설과 학교에서 503명의 유·초등학생을 대상으로 소프트웨어 코딩교육을 실시하며 디지털 격차를 줄이는 데 기여했다.

이번 협력 사업은 지역과 대학이 함께 문제를 해결하고 지역 주민의 역량을 강화하며, 지역 발전의 새로운 가능성을 열었다는 평가를 받고 있다.

군은 이러한 성과를 기반으로 내년부터 충남 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 사업을 본격 추진해 도내 대학과 협력하여 지역과 대학이 동반 성장할 수 있는 전략 수립에 박차를 가할 계획이다.
