브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 최상목 대통령 권한대행 부총리 겸 기획재정부 장관은 29일 무안국제공항에서 제주항공 여객기가 추락한 사고와 관련 "정부는 중앙재난안전대책본부를 가동했으며 모든 관계기관이 협력해 구조와 피해 수습에 총력을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
최상목 권한대행은 이날 무안군청에서 2차 중대본회의를 주재한 자리에서 "오늘 오전 9시3분경 전남 무안공항 활주로에서 항공기 이탈 사고가 발생해 다수의 인명피해가 발생한 엄중한 상황"이라며 이같이 말했다.
최 대행은 "이번 사고로 인해 많은 사상자가 발생한 점에 대해 깊은 애도를 표한다"며 "부상자들의 신속한 회복을 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 강조했다. 이어 "희생되신 분들의 명복을 빌며 유가족분들께도 진심으로 위로의 뜻을 전한다"고 했다.
이어 "사고 원인을 철저히 조사하고 유사사고를 방지하기 위한 재발방지대책을 마련하겠다"면서 "다시 한 번 정부는 유가족에게 진심으로 위로의 말씀을 드리고 이번 사고의 수습과 재발 방지를 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 했다.
한편 전남소방본부에 따르면 이날 오전 9시 3분경 전남 무안공항에서 항공기 추락사고가 발생했다. 소방당국은 탑승객 181명 중 구조된 2명의 승무원을 제외한 탑승객 179명 전원이 사망한 것으로 추정하고 있다.
