유진그룹(회장 유경선)은 1월 2일 서울 여의도 사옥에서 사회복지공동모금회에 3억 원, 대한적십자사에 2억 원 등 총 5억 원의 성금을 기부했다. 이번 성금은 유진기업, 유진투자증권, 동양, 유진레저, 동화기업 등 주요 계열사가 마련했다.
유진그룹은 2016년부터 매년 새해 첫 업무일에 ‘기부 시무식’을 진행하며 사회공헌 성금을 기탁해왔으나, 올해는 여객기 참사 국가애도기간에 동참하기 위해 행사를 생략하고 성금만 전달했다.
유진그룹 관계자는 “이번 나눔이 소외된 이웃들에게 도움이 되길 바라며, ESG 경영을 통해 긍정적인 사회적 가치를 지속적으로 실현하겠다”고 전했다.
유진그룹은 ‘희망나눔위원회’를 중심으로 다양한 사회공헌활동을 펼치고 있으며, 2020년에는 ‘나눔명문기업’으로 선정된 바 있다. 2024년 11월에는 대한적십자사로부터 ‘적십자회원 유공장’을 수상하기도 했다.
Yujin Group Kicks Off 2025 with Sharing
On 2 January, Yujin Group(Chairman Yoo Kyung-sun) donated a total of KRW 500 million, including KRW 300 million to the Joint Social Welfare Fund and KRW 200 million to the Korean Red Cross, at its Yeouido office in Seoul. The donations were made by major affiliates including Yujin Enterprises, Yujin Investment & Securities, Dongyang, Yujin Leisure, and Donghwa Enterprises.
Since 2016, Yujin Group has held a ‘donation ceremony’ on the first business day of the new year every year to contribute to social contributions, but this year, to join the national mourning period for the airliner disaster, the group skipped the ceremony and only donated money.
An official from Yujin Group said, ‘We hope that this donation will help the underprivileged neighbours, and we will continue to realize positive social values through ESG management.’
Yujin Group conducts various social contribution activities centred on the ‘Hope Sharing Committee’ and was selected as a ‘Sharing Famous Company’ in 2020. In November 2024, it was awarded the ‘Red Cross Member Dairy’ by the Korean Red Cross.
