브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 헌법재판소는 7일 윤석열 대통령 탄핵심판과 관련한 공정성 논란에 대해 "헌법과 법률에 의해 양심에 따라 독립해 심판하고 있다"면서 "여야를 떠나 국민만 바라보고 가겠다"고 밝혔다.
천재현 헌재 공보관은 이날 서울 종로구에 위치한 헌법재판소에서 열린 브리핑에서 '여권에서 헌재의 탄핵심판 공정성을 의심하는 발언을 내고 있는데 헌재 입장이 있느냐'는 질문에 "헌재는 주권자인 국민의 뜻에 따라 헌법적 분쟁을 해결하고 헌법 질서를 수호하기 위해 설립된 심판 기관"이라며 이같이 말했다.
천 공보관은 "헌법 분쟁을 해결하기 위해 내린 헌재의 결정이, 새로운 헌법 분쟁을 만드는 것은 헌재를 만든 주권자의 뜻은 아닐 것으로 본다"라고 강조하기도 했다.
