대전교육청, 초등학교 예비소집 미응소자 소재·안전 확인

대전시교육청은 13일, 지난 2일과 3일 이틀간 초등학교 154곳에서 실시한 예비소집에 미응소한 아동들의 소재와 안전을 파악하기 위한 조치를 취했다고 밝혔다.

시교육청은 10일 기준으로 미응소 아동 1,105명의 소재를 확인하기 위해 동행정복지센터 등 관련 기관과 협력하여, 유선 연락, 가정 방문, 출입국사실 확인 등 다양한 방법을 동원해 확인 작업을 진행했다. 그 결과, 미응소 아동들의 주요 사유는 취학면제, 취학유예, 전출 예정, 해외 출국 등으로 확인됐다.

하지만 여전히 소재가 확인되지 않은 2018년생 아동 4명에 대해서는 추가적인 조사가 필요하다. 이들 중 1명은 이미 수사 의뢰가 이루어졌으며, 나머지 3명의 아동에 대해서도 향후 수사 의뢰가 계획되어 있다.

대전시교육청 관계자는 "학교와 유관 기관은 미취학 아동들의 신속한 소재 확인과 안전 점검을 위해 협력하고 있으며, 3월 4일 입학 전까지 경찰서 등과 긴밀히 협조하여 최선을 다해 아동들의 소재를 파악하고 안전을 보장할 것"이라고 말했다.
