세종시가 올해 행정수도에 걸맞은 도로 및 철도 기반 시설을 마련하기 위한 계획을 세웠다.
천홍빈 세종시 교통국장은 16일 오전 시청 정음실에서 열린 교통국 주요 업무 계획 발표에서 "대중교통 혁신 서비스를 고도화하겠다"고 강조했다.
이를 위해 세종시는 올해 상반기 중에 이응패스 간편인증 시스템을 도입해 가입 절차를 간소화하고, 하반기에는 이응패스와 여민전 통합카드를 출시할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
이응패스 가입절차 간소화와 이응패스와 여민전 통합카드 출시를 통해 세종시는 승용차 이용자를 유도하고, 누리콜 및 마을택시와 같은 다양한 교통수단의 이용을 확대할 계획이다.
세종시는 또 출퇴근 시간대에 순환형 이응버스를 시범 운영하고, 디지털 노선안내도를 확대 설치하여 대중교통 이용을 촉진할 예정이다.
또한, 매월 1회 ‘대중교통 이용의 날’을 운영하여 지역 경제 활성화에도 기여할 계획이다.
택시와 교통약자를 위한 누리콜 차량의 증차도 추진되며, 어린이 보호구역과 교통사고 다발 지역에 안전시설을 추가 설치할 예정이다.
특히, 교차로 개선과 신호 최적화를 통해 차량 정체를 줄이고, 주차장 조성과 주정차 단속을 강화하여 주차 질서를 확립할 방침이다.
이와함께 세종시는 도로와 철도 인프라 확충을 위해 세종~안성 및 세종~청주 고속도로 건설을 지원하고, 충청권 광역급행철도(CTX) 추진을 위한 기반을 마련할 예정이다.
스마트도시 조성을 위해 도시 앱과 세종엔 등 스마트 서비스를 통합 운영하여 시민의 편의를 높이고, 도시통합정보센터를 기반으로 긴급상황 대응 체계를 강화할 예정이다.
24시간 관제상황실 운영을 통해 범죄 예방과 시민 안전을 도모할 계획이다.
