대통령실이 19일 윤석열 대통령에 대한 밥원의 구속영장 발부 관련해 "사법부 공정성에 대한 국민적 신뢰를 떨어뜨리게 되지 않을까 우려된다"며 "다른 야권 정치인들과의 형평성에도 맞지 않는 결과"라고 밝혔다.

앞서 서울서부지법 차은경 부장판사는 전날 윤 대통령에 대한 영장실질심사(구속 전 피의자 심문)를 진행 후 구속영장을 발부한 가운데 현직 대통령으로선 헌정사상 최초다.
언급된 다른 야권 정치인들은 이재명 더불어민주당 대표·조국 전 조국혁신당 대표 등을 지칭한 것으로 보이는 가운데 지난 2023년 9월 서울중앙지법(부장판사 유창훈)은 이 대표에 대한 구속영장을 기각하며 "제1야당 대표로서 공적 감시·비판 대상이며 피의자 방어권 보장이 중요하다"고 명시한 바 있다.
