브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 경찰은 20일 윤석열 대통령이 2차 체포영장 집행 전 대통령경호처 부장단 오찬에서 총기 사용 검토를 지시했다는 진술을 확보했다.
20일 경찰에 따르면 경찰청 국가수사본부 비상계엄 특별수사단(특수단)은 복수의 경호처 관계자로부터 윤 대통령이 지난 10~12일 경호처 부장단 오찬에서 "(영장 집행 때) 총을 쏠 수는 없냐"라고 묻는 발언을 했다는 진술을 확보했다.
윤 대통령의 이같은 물음에 김성훈 경호차장은 당시 자리에서 "알겠습니다"라고 답변했다고 한다.
고위공직자범죄수사처(공수처)와 경찰이 지난 3일 윤 대통령에 대한 1차 체포영장 집행을 시도했다 실패한 뒤, 2차 집행에 나설 것으로 예상되자, 윤 대통령이 경호처 부장단과의 오찬에서 이러한 지시를 한 것으로 풀이된다.
그러나 경호처 대다수 직원은 이같은 지시에 응하지 않았고, 지난 15일 2차 체포영장 집행 당시 공수처는 경호처와 별다른 충돌없이 관저까지 진입해 윤 대통령에 대한 체포영장을 집행할 수 있었다.
한편, 경호처에서도 '강경파'로 불리는 김성훈 경호차장은 지난 17일 체포영장 집행을 저지한 '특수공무집행방해 혐의'로 체포됐다. 이후 특수단은 지난 18일 김 차장에 대한 구속영장을 신청했으나 검찰은 자진출석해 조사를 받았다는 점을 고려해 영장을 반려했다.
