세종시교육청 학교지원본부가 관내 학교의 시설공사 업무 부담을 줄이고 적시 지원을 위해 '2025년도 학교 소규모 공사 지원사업'을 추진한다고 23일 밝혔다.
이 사업은 2019년부터 시작된 특색사업으로, 전문 기술 지원을 통해 학교의 시설업무 부담을 경감하고 안전성을 높이는 데 기여해왔다.
올해는 3억1천9백만원의 예산을 확보하여 147개 학교를 대상으로 2000만원 미만의 공사를 지원할 예정이다.
학교지원본부는 신청자가 사업 신청부터 완료까지 모든 과정을 온라인으로 확인할 수 있도록 누리집을 개선하고 있으며, 기술직 공무원이 현장을 방문해 노후 및 위험 정도를 평가하여 사업의 우선순위를 정하는 방식으로 공정성과 투명성을 강화하고 있다.
추가 검토가 필요한 경우 전문인력은행을 활용해 전문가의 자문을 받을 계획이다.
박찬웅 시설지원부장은 "세종시의 모든 학교가 안전하고 쾌적한 교육환경에서 활동할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 전했다. 지난해에는 29개 학교에서 29건의 공사가 진행되었으며, 만족도 조사에서 평균 90%의 긍정적인 응답을 얻었다.
