서천군이 비문해 성인을 위한 문해교육을 강화하며 학습 기회를 확대하고 있다. 군은 3일 '찾아가는 행복서천 문해교실'을 개강하고 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다.
이 프로그램은 문해교사가 직접 학습자를 찾아가는 방식으로 진행되며, 교육 접근성을 높이는 것은 물론 개별 학습자의 수준과 필요에 맞춘 맞춤형 교육을 제공하는 것이 특징이다.
문해교실은 2월부터 12월까지 운영되며, 주 2회 2시간씩 총 80차시 과정으로 진행된다. 기본적인 한글 교육을 중심으로 영어, 수학, 미술, 음악 등 다양한 과목이 포함되어 있어, 단순한 문자 해독을 넘어 실생활에 필요한 기본 소양을 갖출 수 있도록 돕는다.
특히 올해는 국제로타리클럽과 협력해 수준별 맞춤형 교육 자료를 제공하는 등 보다 체계적이고 심화된 학습 지원이 이루어질 예정이다.
서천군은 문해교육이 단순한 지식 전달을 넘어 일상생활의 불편을 해소하고, 학습자들이 세상과 소통할 수 있는 중요한 기회가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
