부여군, 규암~신리 지방도 확포장 사업 본격 추진

부여군은 3일, 규암~신리 지방도 확포장 공사가 제3차 충청남도 도로건설·관리계획에 반영됐다고 밝혔다. 이로써, 2022년부터 지속적으로 건의해온 해당 사업이 본격적인 추진에 들어가게 되었다.

규암면 신리사거리에서 규암 부풍사 삼거리까지 이어지는 2.2㎞ 구간은 현재 왕복 2차로로, 성수기나 주말에는 차량 정체가 자주 발생해 교통 혼잡 문제가 심각했다. 이를 해결하기 위해 이번 사업은 해당 구간을 4차로로 확포장하며, 총 297억 원이 투입될 예정이다.

이번 사업을 통해 백제문화단지와 부여의 주요 유적지를 찾는 탐방객들의 접근성이 크게 개선될 것으로 기대된다. 현재 충청남도 건설본부는 기본 및 실시설계를 진행 중이며, 2026년 상반기 중으로 토지 보상과 사업 착수가 이루어질 계획이다.

박정현 부여군수는 "오랜 시간 요청해온 사업이 반영된 데 대해 감사드린다"며, "추가적으로 백강마을교차로와 신리교차로에 회전교차로 설치, 영농활동을 고려한 농기계 차로, 기존 자전거 도로와의 연계를 위한 자전거도로 설치도 충청남도에 건의할 예정"이라고 밝혔다.
