삼성증권이 해외주식 신규 고객을 위한 특별 환전 이벤트를 실시한다고 발표했다. 이 이벤트는 2024년 7월 31일 기준의 환율로 최대 1백만 원까지 환전할 수 있는 혜택을 제공하며, 선착순 3천명에게 적용된다. 이벤트는 2월 말까지 진행된다.
이번 행사는 2020년부터 2025년 1월 말까지 해외주식 거래가 없었던 신규 및 휴면 고객을 대상으로 하며, 삼성증권의 공식 홈페이지나 모바일 앱 '엠팝(mPOP)'을 통해 신청할 수 있다.
이벤트에 참여한 고객은 1백만 원 이상을 USD로 환전하고, 1백만 원 이상의 해외주식을 매수한 후, 3월 말까지 1백만 원 이상의 외화 잔고(해외주식 + 외화 예수금)를 유지해야 한다. 이 조건을 충족한 고객 중 선착순으로 3천명에게는 6개월 전 환율과 2025년 1월 31일 고시환율 간의 차액이 페이백으로 지급된다. 고시환율은 삼성증권 모바일 앱에서 확인할 수 있다.
환전 금액 내에서 발생하는 차액은 4월 중에 지급될 예정이다.
또한, 삼성증권은 타사에서 해외주식을 삼성증권으로 이전한 고객에게 최대 700만 원의 리워드를 제공하는 이벤트도 동시에 진행하고 있다.
Samsung Securities Offers Exchange Event for New Overseas Stock Customers
Samsung Securities announced a special currency exchange event for new customers of overseas stocks. The offer provides a maximum exchange rate of KRW 1 million at the exchange rate as of July 31, 2024, and is available to the first 3,000 customers. The offer will run until the end of February.
The offer is open to new and dormant customers who have not traded overseas stocks from 2020 to the end of January 2025, and can apply through Samsung Securities' official website or mobile app 'mPOP'.
To participate in the event, customers must convert KRW 1 million or more into USD, purchase overseas stocks worth KRW 1 million or more, and maintain a foreign currency balance (overseas stocks + foreign currency deposit) of KRW 1 million or more by the end of March. The first 3,000 customers who meet these conditions will receive a payback of the difference between the exchange rate six months ago and the January 31, 2025, official exchange rate. The exchange rate can be checked on the Samsung Securities mobile app.
The difference within the exchange amount will be paid in April.
Samsung Securities is also running a simultaneous event offering rewards of up to KRW 7 million to customers who transfer overseas stocks from other companies to Samsung Securities.
