세종시의회 교육안전위원회는 6일부터 7일까지 이틀간 세종시교육청, 시민안전실, 소방본부 소관의 2025년 주요업무 계획을 청취하는 제96회 임시회를 개최했다.
윤지성 위원장은 읍면지역 학교의 내실 있는 특색 교육과정 운영과 내용의 다변화를 위해 더욱 노력해 줄 것을 요청하며, 이를 위해 교원의 인사제도를 보완하고 의지 있는 교원을 적재적소에 배치해 줄 것을 주문했다.
이현정 부위원장은 미인가 대안학교에 대한 지도·점검을 철저히 하여 취지에 적합한 교육활동이 이루어지도록 유도할 것을 제안했다. 또한, 화재 발생 시 신속한 대응을 위해 미인증 소화기에 대한 단속을 실시해 줄 것을 강조했다.
김동빈 의원은 다문화가정의 안정적인 정착을 위해 이주 배경 학부모에 대한 실효성 있는 정책을 추진할 것을 요청하며, 경찰 및 관련 단체와의 협력을 강화하여 안전한 통학로를 확보해 줄 것을 촉구했다.
박란희 의원은 과밀학교 학생들의 체육활동을 활성화하기 위해 필요한 공간과 시설의 확보가 시급하다고 강조하며, 지하수 음용 학교 3곳에 대한 안전대책을 마련하고 향후 상수도로 교체할 방안을 마련해 줄 것을 주문했다.
유인호 의원은 소재가 파악되지 않은 초등학교 입학생에 대해 적절한 조치를 취하고 꾸준한 관심을 가져줄 것을 요청하며, 방학 중 제공되는 도시락에 대한 민원이 꾸준히 발생하고 있어 개선방안을 마련해 줄 것을 강조했다.
윤지성 위원장은 “그동안 교육청, 시민안전실, 소방본부가 보여준 성과와 행정 개선은 밤늦게까지 업무에 매진하는 직원분들의 노고임을 잘 알고 있다”라며 집행부에 대한 고마움을 전했다.
한편, 교육안전위원회는 10일에 예정된 3차 회의에서 '세종특별자치시교육청 발명교육 활성화 및 지원에 관한 조례안' 등 17건의 안건을 처리할 예정이다.
