자력환경공단, 행정안전부와 안전문화 사회공헌 협약 체결

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국원자력환경공단(이사장 조성돈)은 7일 서울 피스앤파크컨벤션에서 미래세대, 취약계층 및 지역사회의 안전문화 조성을 위한 안전문화 사회공헌활동 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번‘안전문화 사회공헌활동 업무협약’에는 행정안전부, 공단, 한국도로공사, 농협, LG생활건강 등 총 29개 기관이 참가했다.

공단은 협약내용에 따라 2027년까지 방사선측정 및 교육 서비스, 지역주민 건강검진 지원, 취약계층 소방설비 지원, 어린이 안전일기장 제작, 어린이 안전달력 제작, 안전문화 캠페인 등의 다양한 안전문화 사회공헌활동을 펼칠 예정이다.

한편, 공단은 지난 2019년 방사선측정 서비스를 시작하였고 2023년 행정안전부와 최초 안전문화 업무협약을 체결하는 등 안전문화 사회공헌활동 분야를 넓혀오고 있다.

조성돈 한국원자력환경공단 이사장은 “이번 협약이 민관의 전문성을 기반으로 하는 안전문화 확산활동의 계기가 될 것으로 기대하며, 앞으로도 지역과 국민의 안전의식 개선을 위한 지원에 앞장서겠다”고 밝혔다.

Korea Radioactive Waste Management Corporation (Chairman Seong-don Cho) announced on the 7th that it signed a safety culture social contribution activity business agreement to foster safety culture for future generations, vulnerable groups, and local communities at the Peace & Park Convention in Seoul.

A total of 29 organizations, including the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Corporation, Korea Expressway Corporation, Nonghyup, and LG Household & Health Care, participated in this ‘Safety Culture Social Contribution Activity Business Agreement.’

According to the contents of the agreement, the Corporation plans to carry out various safety culture social contribution activities such as radiation measurement and education services, support for health checkups for local residents, support for firefighting equipment for vulnerable groups, production of children’s safety diaries, production of children’s safety calendars, and safety culture campaigns by 2027.

Meanwhile, the Corporation began its radiation measurement service in 2019 and has been expanding its safety culture social contribution activities by signing its first safety culture business agreement with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in 2023.

Cho Seong-don, Chairman of the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency, said, “We expect this agreement to serve as an opportunity to spread safety culture based on public-private expertise, and we will continue to take the lead in supporting the improvement of safety awareness among the region and the public.”
