세종시교육청이 올해부터 기존 방과후학교와 돌봄교실은 늘봄학교로 통합하고 초1 맞춤형 프로그램은 '맞춤형 프로그램'으로, 방과후학교는 '선택형 교육 프로그램'으로, 돌봄교실은 '선택형 돌봄'으로 운영하기로 했다.
최교진 세종시교육감은 18일 시교육청에서 기자회견을 열고 방과후 교실 돌봄 체계를 통합한 2025년 세종형 늘봄학교 운영계획을 발표했다.
우선 세종형 늘봄학교는 맞춤형 프로그램, 선택적 교육 프로그램, 선택적 돌봄 프로그램 등으로 구분해 시작된다.
'맞춤형 프로그램'은 기존 초등 1학년에서 2학년까지 확대하고, 놀이체육과 음악활동, 창의놀이 등 다양한 프로그램은 무상으로 지원하기로 했다.
'선택형 교육 프로그램'은 초등 1~6학년 대상으로 운영되고, 코딩, AI, 오케스트라 같은 소인수 늘봄 프로그램을 운영할 수 있는 '꿈자람 배움터'를 지원하기로 했다.
'선택형 돌봄'은 △아침늘봄, △오후늘봄,△저녁늘봄을 운영해 돌봄 공백 해소에 나설 방침이다.
특히 '저녁늘봄' 은 저녁 8시까지 운영하고 급식과 간식도 지원된다.
맞춤형 프로그램 및 선택형 교육 프로그램과 연계해 희망하는 초등 1~2학년은 누구나, 3~6학년은 학교의 여건에 따라 자율적으로 운영하도록 했다.
아울러 올해부터 각 학교에 늘봄지원팀장 23명을 중심으로 기존 방과후 돌봄 담당 교무행정사, 초등돌봄전담사 등 늘봄전담조직인 늘봄지원팀을 구축하고 운영된다.
늘봄학교 안전관리도 강화된다. 학생 귀가 지원 인력을 추가 배치하고 돌봄 전용 교실 내 인터폰 및 비상벨 설치를 확대하기로 했다. CCTV를 추가로 설치해 안전 사각지대를 최소화할 계획이다
최교진 교육감은 "최근 대전에서 발생한 초등학생 참사로 학교 안전과 귀가에 대한 걱정과 염려가 클 것으로 생각한다"며 "학교가 상황별 안전관리 모든 범죄로부터 아이들을 보호하기 위해 필요한 조치를 강구해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
