브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 비명(비이재명)계로 분류되는 김두관 전 더불어민주당 의원은 19일 이재명 대표가 민주당의 정체성이 '중도보수'라고 발언한 데 대해 "중산층과 서민의 정당, 민주당 70년 역사를 부정하는 말"이라고 비판했다.
김두관 전 의원은 자신의 SNS를 통해 "대통령이 되고픈 욕심에 자신의 근본 뿌리마저 망각해서는 안 된다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "흑묘백묘 실용에는 동의하지만, 대한민국의 발전과 민주화를 위해 민주당이 걸어온 투쟁의 역사를 부정하는 것은 용납할 수 없다"며 "민주당이 김대중, 노무현, 문재인 대통령이 쌓아온 불평등과 불공정과의 싸움, 반독재와 반독점의 정치적 투쟁을 이어가야 한다고 생각한다"고 강조했다.
이어 "시대 변화에 맞는 새로운 정치 목표를 설정하는 것은 중요하다"면서도 "이 나라 보수는 독재와 기득권, 더 많이 가진 자 편이었다. 헌정사상 최초의 독재정당인 이승만의 자유당, 10월 유신으로 장기독재의 길을 연 박정희의 공화당, 광주학살과 계엄령으로 민주공화국을 짓밟은 전두환의 민정당이 그것"이라고 밝혔다.

그런데 "그 당에 맞서 민주주의를 지키고 노동자와 서민을 위한 길을 걸었던 중도 진보가 민주당이었다"라며 "이 대표의 입장은 독재와 기득권을 대표하는 보수에 맞서 진보라는 자부심으로 민주당을 지지해 온 민주당 당원과 지지자에 대한 불신이다. 무엇보다 피눈물로 민주당의 가치를 지켜온 호남에 대한 불신"이라고 강하게 비판했다.
그러면서 "이 대표는 당장 '보수정당 발언'을 실언으로 인정해 취소하고, 그동안 독재와 독점에 맞서 싸워온 민주당 지지자와 국민에게 사과해야 한다"고 덧붙였다.
