세종시의회 임채성 의장은 20일 광주시의회에서 개최된 대한민국시도의회의장협의회(이하 의장협의회) 제1차 임시회에 참석했다.
임 의장은 이날 의장협의회 임시회에서 ‘협의회 주요 현안보고’ 등 7개 안건을 청취하고, ‘충청광역연합 재정지원을 위한 '지방교부세법 개정 건의안’ 등 13개 안건을 처리할 수 있도록 협력했다.
이날 의장협의회에서 의결한 주요 안건으로는 제주항공 여객기 참사 피해 지원을 위한 특별법 제정 건의안 ,국립초등학교 다자녀 입학전형 확대 건의안 ,전동킥보드 등 개인형 이동장치 안전 확보를 위한 개별 법률 제정 및 강력한 관리 체계 구축 촉구 건의안 등이다.
임채성 의장은 “충청광역연합 재정지원을 위한 '지방교부세법'개정 건의안이 통과되면 특별지방자치단체에 대한 중앙정부의 지원이 확대되어 충청광역연합뿐만 아니라 광주·전남, 대구·경북, 부산·울산·경남 등 초광역 협력사업 또한 더욱 탄력을 받을 것이므로 관련 법 개정안 통과를 위한 초당적 협력이 조속히 이뤄져야 한다”고 강조했다.
