골프존문화재단(이사장 김영찬)은 2월 19일 경상북도 구미시청에서 지역 소외계층 350세대를 위한 생필품 키트 후원식을 진행했다. 이번 후원은 '2025 골프존 이웃사랑 행복나눔'의 일환으로, 총 1천5백만 원 상당의 생필품이 지원되었다.
후원식에는 박영준 골프존문화재단 팀장, 김호섭 구미시 부시장, 이병주 골프존카운티 사업부장 등이 참석하여 복지 사각지대 해소를 위한 결의를 다졌다. 후원 물품은 구미시의 행정복지센터 및 희망복지지원단을 통해 각 가정에 전달될 예정이다.
골프존문화재단은 2021년부터 5년간 이어온 이 프로그램을 통해 지역사회 소외계층에 생필품을 지원하며 사회적 책임을 다하고 있다. 김영찬 이사장은 “이번 후원이 이웃들에게 따뜻한 봄을 가져다주기를 바란다”며, 앞으로도 다양한 나눔 활동을 지속할 것이라고 밝혔다.
골프존문화재단은 2010년 설립 이후 문화·예술 분야 및 사회 소외계층 후원사업을 통해 이웃사랑을 실천하고 있으며, 2017년에는 대한민국 자원봉사대상에서 '대통령 표창'을 수상한 바 있다.
GOLFZONE Culture Foundation Sponsors ‘GOLFZONE Neighborly Love and Happiness Sharing’
GOLFZONE Culture Foundation (Chairman Kim Young-chan) held a sponsorship ceremony at Gumi City Hall in Gyeongsangbuk-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, on February 19 to donate daily necessities kits to 350 families in need. The sponsorship was part of the '2025 GOLFZONE Neighborly Love and Happiness Sharing' program, and a total of KRW 15 million worth of daily necessities were donated.
Park Young-joon, head of GOLFZONE's Cultural Foundation Team, Kim Hoseop, vice mayor of Gumi City, and Lee Byung-joo, head of GOLFZONE's county division, attended the sponsorship ceremony to strengthen their resolve to eliminate welfare blind spots. The sponsored items will be delivered to each family through Gumi City's Administrative Welfare Center and Hope Welfare Support Group.
Through this program, which has been running for five years since 2021, GOLFZONE Cultural Foundation has been fulfilling its social responsibility by providing daily necessities to the underprivileged in the local community. “We hope that this sponsorship will bring a warm spring to our neighbors,” said Kim Young-chan, chairman of the board of directors, adding that the company will continue various sharing activities in the future.
Since its establishment in 2010, Golf Zone Culture Foundation has been practicing neighborly love through sponsorship projects in the cultural and artistic fields and the underprivileged, and in 2017, it received the Presidential Citation at the Korea Volunteer Awards.
