[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 시민 안전 강화를 위한 6개 사업을 새롭게 발굴해 추진한다고 25일 밝혔다.
이 사업들은 자살예방, 교통안전 등 6개 분야로 구성된 안전도시실무위원회의 심의·의결을 거쳐 최종 확정됐다.
6개 분야별 새롭게 추진되는 안전증진사업 중 자살예방 분야는 번개탄을 통한 자살을 방지하기 위해 판매업소 대상 비진열 방식 판매 ‘보관함’ 설치, 교통안전 분야는 전동휠체어 이용자 교통사고 예방을 위한 ‘안전실버 커버’ 보급, 범죄예방 분야는 무인점포 절도 예방을 위한 자동음성안내기 ‘양심-Keeper’ 설치다.
또한 주거환경 분야는 범죄와 사고 예방을 위한 골목길 환경개선 사업 ‘태양광 우편함’ 설치, 화재안전 분야는 동상동 전통시장 주거구역 내 화재 예방을 위한 단독경보형 감지기·자동소화패치·거주자 현황판 설치, 발달장애인 안전관리 분야는 화재, 유독가스 사고에 취약한 발달장애인을 위한 ‘자동소화패치와 방연물품’ 지급이다.
특히 이번 신규 사업은 김해시 지역안전지수에서 상대적으로 취약한 범죄, 자살 예방 분야의 안전도를 향상하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
최근 신변을 비관하거나 경제적 어려움으로 스스로 목숨을 끊는 일이 증가하고 있어 시는 이를 예방하고자 번개탄 판매업소 대상 비진열 판매 보관함을 100여 곳에 배부하고 무인점포에는 자동음성안내기 ‘양심-Keeper’를 설치해 범죄 예방 효과를 꾀한다.
홍태용 시장은 “국제안전도시로서 시민이 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 안전증진사업을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”며 “유관기관과 시민들의 적극적인 참여와 협력이 필요하다”고 말했다.
한편 김해시는 2020년 2월 스웨덴 스톡홀름 국제안전도시 공인센터(ISCCC)로부터 국내 21번째 국제안전도시로 공인된 이후 지금까지 172건의 안전증진사업을 추진하고 있으며 매년 새로운 사업을 발굴·도입해 나가고 있다.
