예산군, 맨발 황톳길 조성 추진…주민 건강증진 기대

충남 예산군이 맨발 걷기 열풍과 주민들의 높은 관심을 반영해 황톳길 조성 사업을 본격 추진한다.

군은 지난해 도민참여 예산과 지역밀착형 건의사업을 통해 총 8억 원의 예산을 확보했으며, 사업 대상지는 예산읍 향천사 주변과 신양면 신양중학교 인근으로 선정됐다.

이에 따라 군은 관계자 및 주민들의 의견을 수렴한 뒤 지난 12일까지 실시설계 용역에 착수했다.

오는 3월 중 구체적인 사업 계획을 확정한 후 본격적인 조성 작업에 돌입할 예정이다. 맨발 황톳길은 혈액순환 촉진, 소화 기능 개선, 스트레스 완화 등 다양한 건강 증진 효과가 있어 주민들의 기대감이 높다.

다만, 야외에 조성되는 만큼 황토 유실, 갈라짐, 배수 문제 등의 관리 방안이 필요하다. 이에 군은 대상지의 특성을 고려해 유지·보수가 용이한 방식으로 황톳길을 조성할 계획이다.
