[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 외국인근로자 기숙사 환경개선사업을 추진한다고 26일 밝혔다.
1월 말 기준 김해에는 3만250명 등록외국인이 거주하고 있으며 이중 근로자는 1만2,772명으로 전체의 42.2%를 차지한다.
이 사업은 기업체 기숙사 개·보수에 드는 비용의 80% 이내에서 업체당 최대 800만원까지 지원한다.
초과비용, 부과세 등은 기업이 부담해야 한다.
화장실, 샤워실, 식당 등의 벽지와 타일 교체 등 기숙사 환경을 개선해 외국인근로자들이 보다 쾌적하고 안전한 환경에서 생활할 수 있도록 돕는다.
지원 대상은 등록외국인 근로자를 고용하고 기숙사를 보유한 김해 기업이며 건축물대장에 기숙사 또는 숙소로 등록돼 있어야 한다.
외국인근로자 기숙사 이용 인원, 연매출액 등 기업체 현황과 사업계획서를 종합적으로 검토해 선정한다.
다만 건축물대장상 위반건축물, 무허가 건축물, 비닐하우스 등 가설 건축물, 원룸과 빌라 등 공동주택과 전년도 매출 증빙이 불가한 업체, 휴·폐업 업체, 국세·지방세 등 체납 기업체 등은 제외된다.
신청은 오는 3월 24일까지이며 신청서와 관련 서류를 구비해 시청 인구청년정책관을 방문하거나 우편, 이메일로 제출하면 된다.
