부여군은 지난 26일 충남도청 문예회관에서 열린 ‘RE100 달성을 위한 업무협약 체결식’에 참여해 신재생에너지 확대 정책에 힘을 보태기로 했다.
이번 협약식에는 김태흠 충남도지사를 비롯해 박정현 부여군수, 충남도의회 의장, 발전사 및 도시가스사 관계자 등 48개 기관·단체·기업이 참석해 협력 의지를 다졌다.
이번 협약을 통해 부여군을 포함한 충남도 15개 시·군은 ▲신재생에너지 보급 확대를 위한 정책 및 행정 지원, ▲사업 모델 발굴, ▲유휴 부지 제공 등을 추진하기로 합의했다. 특히 신재생에너지 인허가 절차를 간소화하고, 태양광·풍력 등 친환경 에너지 기반을 확대하는 데 초점을 맞출 계획이다.
박정현 부여군수는 “부여군은 이미 650억 원 규모의 신재생에너지 기업 투자를 유치하는 성과를 거두며 RE100 달성을 위한 기반을 다지고 있다”며 “이번 협약을 계기로 신재생에너지 보급을 더욱 가속화해 지역 경제 활성화와 탄소중립 목표를 동시에 실현하겠다”고 밝혔다.
