충남 논산시의회(의장 조용훈)는 27일 시의회 3층 의회운영위원회의실에서 ‘제27회 논산딸기축제’의 성공적인 개최를 위한 추진상황 보고회를 개최했다.
이번 보고회에는 조용훈 의장을 비롯한 시의원, 딸기축제추진위원장, 논산문화관광재단 대표이사 및 관계자들이 참석해 축제의 전반적인 운영 계획을 점검하고 다양한 의견을 교환했다.
이날 논산문화관광재단 박상구 사무국장은 축제 운영 전반과 신규 프로그램 등에 대해 설명하며, 보다 원활한 진행을 위한 시의회의 협조를 요청했다.
이에 시의원들은 ▲헬기 탑승 행사로 인한 식당 피해 최소화 방안(윤금숙 의원), ▲라디오 방송국과 메인무대의 개별 방송 시간 확보(이태모 의원), ▲관내 셔틀버스 활용 확대(허명숙 의원), ▲딸기 체험 농가 셔틀버스 운영(서승필 의원), ▲딸기 홍보관 확대 운영(홍태의 의원), ▲딸기 품질 유지 및 판매 부스 확대 방안(장진호 의원) 등을 제안하며 실질적인 개선책을 논의했다.
이상훈 논산딸기축제 추진위원장은 “지난해 축제의 경험을 바탕으로 더욱 발전된 축제를 만들기 위해 노력하겠다”며, “논산시의회의 적극적인 지원을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
조용훈 의장은 “이번 논산딸기축제가 성공적으로 개최되어 다가오는 ‘2027 논산세계딸기산업엑스포’를 널리 알리는 계기가 되길 바란다”며, “시의회에서도 지역 경제 활성화와 관광산업 발전을 위해 지속적으로 관심을 갖고 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 제27회 논산딸기축제는 ‘논산딸기, 세계를 잇다’를 주제로 오는 3월 27일부터 30일까지 논산시민가족공원 일원에서 열린다.
