브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 헌법재판소의 윤석열 대통령 탄핵심판이 최종 선고만을 앞두고 있는 가운데, 3·1절 서울 도심 곳곳에서 탄핵 찬반 집회가 대규모로 열렸다.
서울 광화문과 여의도, 대학로 등지에서 총 11만여 명의 인파가 몰렸다. 이날 시민단체뿐 아니라 대학생, 정치권에서도 힘을 보태며 2025년 3.1절은 나라가 둘로 갈린 분위기다.
먼저 탄핵 반대 집회는 광화문과 여의도, 대학로에서 각각 열렸다. 전광훈 목사가 이끄는 대한민국바로세우기운동본부(대국본)는 이날 오후 1시부터 광화문 일대에서 '국가정상화를 위한 천만 광화문 국민대회'를 열었다.

같은 시간, 기독교 단체인 세이브코리아는 여의도 일대에서 탄핵을 반대하는 '3·1절 국가비상기도회'를 가졌다.
정치권에서도 집회에 참여해 힘을 실었다. 윤상현, 김기현, 나경원 의원 등 국민의힘 의원 30여 명이 참석했다.
대학로 일대에서는 대학생들이 주축이 돼 '탄핵 반대'를 외쳤다. 전국 33개 대학 연합체 자유수호대학연대 회원 등 2,500여 명(경찰 비공식 추산)은 이날 정오부터 종로구 서울사대부초 인근 차로를 차지하고 '전국 대학생 탄핵 반대 시국선언 대회'를 개최한 뒤, 광화문 탄핵 반대 집회에 합류했다.
경찰의 비공식 추산에 따르면 두 집회에 최대 12만 명(대국본 6만5천 명, 세이브코리아 5만5천 명)이 모였다.

탄핵을 촉구하는 집회는 시민단체와 야(野) 5당을 중심으로 오후 2시부터 본격 시작됐다.
이날 안국동사거리에서 진행된 탄핵 촉구 집회에는 경찰 비공식 추산 1만8,000여 명이 참석했다. 탄핵 반대 집회 장소와는 고작 1㎞ 정도 떨어진 곳이었다.
탄핵 촉구 측은 오후 3시 30분부터 민주당과 조국혁신당, 진보당, 기본소득당, 사회민주당이 공동으로 개최하는 '내란종식·민주헌정수호를 위한 윤석열 파면 촉구 범국민대회'로 집회를 이어갔다.

집회 맨 앞 줄에는 이재명 대표가 자리했다. 이재명 대표는 단상에 올라 "보수의 탈을 쓴 채 헌법과 법치를 파괴하는 이들을 넘어서 민주주의를 회복해야 한다"며 "희망의 대한민국을 우리의 손으로 확실하게 만들어가자"고 촉구하기도 했다.
참가자들은 이후 연대조직 윤석열 즉각 퇴진 사회대개혁 비상행동이 경복궁역 인근에서 진행 중인 범시민대행진에 합류했다. 행진은 오후 6시 30분 광화문에서 헌법재판소 방향으로 진행했다.
3.1절을 맞아 탄핵 촉구 집회에서도 태극기를 나눠주거나 참가자들에게 태극기 지참을 주문했다.

In celebration of March 1st, the impeachment rally also handed out Taegeukgi flags and asked participants to bring them.
