[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 의령군은 도시재생사업으로 조성된 ‘상동주거플랫폼’이 본격 운영에 들어갔다고 22일 밝혔다.
상동주거플랫폼은 상동지구 우리동네살리기 사업의 핵심 거점시설로, 지난해 12월 개관식을 갖고 운영 준비를 마친 데 이어 최근 본격적인 운영을 시작했다.
해당 시설은 주민 생활환경 개선과 공동체 회복을 목표로 조성된 복합 생활 SOC 공간으로, 키즈카페, 아이돌봄시설, 실버학교, 테마도서관 등 다양한 주민 편의시설과 임대주택을 갖추고 있다.
1층에는 영유아와 보호자가 함께 이용할 수 있는 키즈카페와 초등학생 대상 아이돌봄시설이 마련됐으며, 2층에는 실버학교와 테마도서관이 조성돼 세대 간 소통과 여가활동 공간으로 활용된다.
3~4층에는 임대주택이 들어서 입주가 이뤄지면서 정주 여건 개선에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
특히 키즈카페와 아이돌봄시설은 방과 후 돌봄 기능을 강화해 맞벌이 가정의 부담을 덜어줄 전망이다.
상동주거플랫폼은 2020년 부지 매입을 시작으로 2021년 도시재생 뉴딜사업 공모에 선정돼 추진됐으며, 2025년 준공했다.
군 관계자는 “상동주거플랫폼이 주민들의 일상 편의를 높이고 공동체 활성화에 기여하는 거점 공간이 될 것으로 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 주민들이 체감할 수 있는 운영과 홍보에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
