이번 보고회에서는 민선 8기 역점사업의 원활한 추진과 미래 성장 동력 확보를 위한 정부 정책과 연계한 신규 사업 발굴 및 지역 현안사업의 국비 확보 방안을 중점적으로 논의했다.
시는 글로벌 경기 위축과 정부의 건전 재정 기조 유지 등 어려운 여건을 고려해 △신규사업 45건 △계속사업 128건 등 총 173건, 8,662억 원(총 사업비 7조 6,869억 원)의 국비 지원을 건의할 계획이다.
주요 신규 사업으로는 △예술창작소 건립(52억 원) △농기계 교육장 신축(25억 원) △국립 산림과학관 조성(30억 원) △경상북도 소재부품장비 특화단지 조성(43억 원) 등이 포함됐다.
계속사업으로는 △황룡사 복원·정비(66억원) △경주 혁신원자력연구단지 진입도 건설(167억원) △전기 이륜차 배터리 공유스테이션 기술개발 및 실증(73억원) △농소 ~ 외동간 국도 4차로 건설(400억원) 등이 있다.
경주시는 이번 보고회에서 논의된 사업 외에도 국가 정책에 부합하는 신규 사업을 지속적으로 발굴하고, 직원 역량 강화 교육 등을 통해 국비 확보에 선제적으로 대응할 방침이다.
또한, 예비타당성조사 및 재정투자심사 등 국비 지원을 위한 사전 절차를 철저히 이행하고, 전액 국비 사업 및 국비 보조율이 높은 사업을 우선 선정해 지방재정 운용의 건전성을 높일 계획이다.
