최상목 대통령 권한대행 경제부총리 겸 기획재정부 장관이 17일 "유휴·저활용 국유재산을 활용해 각 지역 전략산업과 연계된 청년창업 지원 시설을 지속 확대하겠다"고 밝혔다.
최 권한대행은 이날 오후 서울 강남구 역삼동 소재 '나라키움 역삼청년창업허브'에서 청년 창업인들과 만나 "역삼청년창업허브는 정부·지자체·공공·민간기관 역량 및 자원이 결집된 사례"라며 "주거일체형 창업공간 등 청년 창업인 수요를 적극 반영하겠다"며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "상가·농지 등 유휴 국유재산을 청년세대가 창업 등 경제활동에 적극 활용할 수 있도록 청년 우선 대부·사용료 인하 등 청년세대 국유재산 사용 활성화를 위한 제도 개선을 추진 중"이라며 "올해 말까지 청년창업사관학교 18개소·청년전용 창업자금 3000억·청년창업펀드 667억 조성 등을 마무리하겠다"고 전했다.
'역삼청년창업허브'는 세종시로 이전한 한국정책방송원(KTV) 기존 사옥을 철거하고 신축한 시설로 국유재산을 개발해 청년창업공간을 조성한 최초 사례인 가운데 중앙정부·지자체(서울시)·공공기관(한국자산관리공사·한국국제협력단)·민간기업(스파크플러스)이 협업해 시세보다 저렴하게 창업공간을 임대한다.
