[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 제15회 결핵예방의 날을 맞아 오는 23일 오후 2시부터 4시까지 김해외국인근로자지원센터에서 '찾아가는 외국인 무료 결핵검진'을 실시한다.
이번 검진은 김해시에 거주하는 외국인 근로자와 가족 100명을 대상으로 흉부 X-선 검진과 유소견자에 대한 객담검사를 제공한다.
결핵은 전염성이 높은 질병으로 조기 발견과 치료가 필수적이다.
김해시는 외국인 근로자들이 결핵을 조기에 발견, 적극적으로 치료받을 수 있도록 지원하고 있다.
특히 2024년 김해시 전체 결핵 환자 중 외국인 환자가 차지하는 비율이 12.7%에 달하는 만큼 이들의 건강 관리를 위해 최선을 다하고 있다.
이번 무료 검진은 김해시와 대한결핵협회, 김해외국인근로자지원센터가 협력해 검진 결과에 따라 유소견자는 추가 검사를 제공한다.
결핵뿐만 아니라 기본적인 혈액검사를 포함한 총 19종의 종합건강검진도 함께 제공해 외국인 근로자들은 결핵 외에도 다양한 건강 문제를 조기에 발견하고 예방할 수 있다.
검진을 통해 결핵으로 진단받은 경우, 필요한 의료 서비스 지원으로 이들이 치료를 완료할 수 있도록 적극적으로 돕고 있다.
