브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘은 전날 국회 국회 법제사법위원회에서 더불어민주당 주도로 '윤석열 대통령 탄핵 심판 선고기일 신속 지정 촉구 결의안'이 강행 통과된데 대해, 명백한 헌법재판소 압박이라고 비판했다.
조용술 국민의힘 대변인은 27일 논평을 통해 "이번 결의안은 명백히 헌법재판소에 대한 정치적 압박이며, 삼권분립의 근본 가치를 훼손하는 심각한 행위다"라고 말했다.
조 대변인은 "여야 합의 없이 일방적으로 법사위를 통과한 이번 결의안은 민주당이 국회를 자신들의 정치적 도구로 전락시켰음을 보여준다"며 "국회의 권한을 빙자해 헌재를 압박하는 것은 입법부가 사법부의 독립성을 짓밟는 위험한 선례가 될 것"이라고 지적했다.
이어 "민주당은 이미 여러 차례 헌재를 향해 탄핵 인용을 촉구하며 정치적 개입을 시도해왔다"며 "국가적 재난인 산불 대응에는 뒷전이었던 민주당이 ‘천막 투쟁’이라는 보여주기식 행보를 이어가더니, 이제는 국회의 권위를 앞세워 헌재의 판결을 압박하는 데 몰두하고 있다"고 비판했다.
또한 조 대변인은 "헌법을 수호해야 할 정당이 오히려 헌법 기관을 정치적 도구로 활용하며 권력을 남용하는 행태야말로 민주주의의 가치를 심각하게 훼손하는 반헌법적 행위가 아닐 수 없다"고 강조했다.
그는 "헌법재판소는 단심제로 탄핵 심판을 진행하는 만큼, 무엇보다 중요한 것은 공정성과 신중함"이라며 "탄핵 심판 과정에서 다양한 법적 논란이 제기된 상황에서, 정치적 이유로 판결을 서두르는 것은 헌정사에 중대한 오점을 남길 뿐"이라고 말했다.
조 대변인은 아울러 "민주당은 이번 결의안이 국회의 본질적 역할을 벗어나 헌법 기관 간의 권력 균형을 무너뜨렸다는 사실을 직시해야 한다"며 "지금이라도 민주당은 스스로 저지른 반민주적 행태를 되돌아보고, 책임 있는 자세를 보여야 한다"고 촉구했다.
그러면서 "국민은 민주당이 계속해서 국회를 사유화하고 헌법 질서를 훼손한다면 반드시 준엄한 심판을 내릴 것"이라고 경고했다.
