브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘은 31일 더불어민주당이 '국무위원 전원 탄핵' 및 '헌법재판관 임기 연장 입법 추진'에 나선데 대해 맹비난했다.
신동욱 국민의힘 수석대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "민주당이 이제는 ‘헌정 질서 전복’을 위한 폭주를 벌이고 있다"고 말했다.
신 대변인은 "보도에 따르면, 민주당은 퇴임이 임박한 문형배·이미선 헌법재판관의 임기를 임의로 연장하고, 마은혁 후보자의 임기를 대통령 임명 없이 개시하려는 위헌적 법 개정을 강행 처리하려 하고 있다"고 지적했다.
이어 "이것이 현실화된다면, 명백한 헌법 파괴 행위이자 권력 찬탈을 위한 ‘제도적 쿠데타’ 시도와 다름없다"고 비판했다.
또한 "대한민국 헌법 제111조는 헌법재판관의 임명권이 대통령에게 있음을 분명히 하고 있다. 제112조는 임기가 6년임을 천명하고 있다. 헌법 위에 그 어떤 정치도 군림할 수 없다"고 강조했다.
그는 "더 심각한 것은 이 시도가 단발성이 아니라는 점이다. 이미 민주당 초선 의원들이 주장한 ‘국무위원 전원 탄핵 계획’과 연결돼 있다. 행정부를 무력화시키고, 헌재를 장악하고, 결국 대통령 파면을 강요하겠다는 치밀한 ‘권력 찬탈 시나리오’의 일환이다"고 주장했다.
그러면서 "입법으로 헌법기관을 좌지우지하려는 민주당의 발상은 '입법 자해'다"라며 "이것은 정치가 아니다. 이것이야말로 ‘진짜 내란’이다"고 강하게 비판했다.
신 대변인은 "헌정 붕괴를 막아낼 힘은 결국 국민으로부터 나온다. 국민의힘은 국민과 함께 ‘국헌 문란’과 ‘내란 시도’를 반드시 막아내겠다. 정부도 즉각적인 헌정 수호 조치에 나서야 한다"고 밝혔다.
