우미건설이 대형 산불로 삶의 터전을 잃은 이재민들을 위해 2억 원의 성금을 기탁하며 따뜻한 온정을 전했다.
3월 31일, 우미건설은 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회에 산불 피해 복구 성금 2억 원을 전달했다고 밝혔다. 이번 기부금은 특별재난지역으로 선포된 지역의 복구 사업과 이재민들을 위한 긴급 생필품 지원, 구호 활동 등에 사용될 예정이다.
배영한 우미건설 총괄 사장은 "갑작스러운 산불로 삶의 터전을 잃은 지역 주민들께 깊은 위로를 전한다"며, "국민들의 작은 온정이 모여 하루빨리 삶의 희망과 평온한 일상을 되찾기를 바란다"고 말했다.
우미건설은 이번 산불 피해 지원 외에도 코로나19 등 각종 재난 발생 시 꾸준히 기부 활동을 이어왔으며, 우미희망재단을 중심으로 다양한 사회공헌 사업을 펼치고 있다.
Umi-E&C donates 200 million won for wildfire recovery
Umi-E&C has donated 200 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to help the victims of the devastating wildfires.
On March 31, UMI E&C announced that it donated 200 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association for the restoration of wildfire damage. The donation will be used for restoration projects in areas declared as special disaster areas, emergency necessities for survivors, and relief activities.
"We extend our deepest sympathies to the local residents who lost their homes due to the sudden wildfires," said Younghan Bae, President and CEO of UMI E&C. "We hope that the people's small acts of kindness will help them regain their hope and peaceful daily lives as soon as possible."
In addition to supporting the victims of the wildfires, Umi E&C has consistently donated to various disasters, including COVID-19, and has been conducting various social contribution programs centered on the Umi Hope Foundation.
