[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 농림축산식품부에서 시행하는 ‘2025년 농촌 체류형 복합단지 조성 시범사업’(이하 체류형 복합단지) 공모에 선정되는 성과를 거두었다.
체류형 복합단지 사업은 도시민에게 영농체험 외 체류공간 및 지역 관광·문화자원 등과 연계한 교류 프로그램을 복합 제공함으로써 생활인구 유입 및 지역경제 활성화를 도모하는 사업이다.
거창군은 지난 1월 농림축산식품부 사업계획에 따라 체류단지와 기존 인프라를 연계한 ‘연계조성’으로 공모에 참여했으며, 전국 12개소 시군이 경쟁한 가운데 4대1의 높은 경쟁률을 뚫고 최종 선정됐다.
군은 2025년부터 3년간 총 30억 원(국비 15억, 지방비 15억)을 투입해 구 하성초등학교 폐교 부지(거창군 웅양면 한기리 915번지)에 체류형 복합단지를 조성한다.
