한덕수 대통령 권한대행 국무총리가 2일 헌법재판소의 윤석열 대통령 탄핵심판 선고에 앞서 "어떤 결정도 받아들여야 한다"고 강조했다.
한 권한대행은 헌재 탄핵선고 이틀전인 이날 오전 서울 종로구 정부서울청사에서 열린 치안관계장관회의 모두 발언에서 "정치적 유불리를 떠나 공동체 안정·생존을 우선해야 할 때"라며 이같이 밝혔다.
그러면서 "헌법재판소 대통령 탄핵 사건 선고가 4월 4일로 예고됐다"며 "국민적 관심·긴장이 더욱 고조되고 정국 혼란·사회 갈등이 계속되고 있다"고 말했다.
이어 "분열·갈등보단 사회통합에 기여하는 책임있는 자세를 보여주시길 바란다"며 "특히 불법시위·폭력을 자극하거나 유도할 수 있는 발언들은 삼가해 주실 것을 간곡히 부탁드린다"고 정치권에 촉구했다.
또 "경찰·행정력을 총동원해 그 어떤 불상사도 발생않도록 철저히 대비하겠다"며 "특히 경찰은 헌법재판소 재판관들에 대한 경호를 강화하고 헌법재판소·외교시설 등 주요시설에 대한 안전유지에도 빈틈없도록 철저히 준비해달라"고 지시했다.
더불어 "서울 도심과 대규모 집회가 예정된 지역에서도 안전사고가 발생하않도록 현장 대응을 철저히 해주기 바란다"며 "그 어떤 불법·폭력적 행위도 결단코 용납하지 않겠고, 시설파괴·폭행·방화 등 공권력에 도전하고 공동체를 파괴하는 행위에 대해선 '현행범 체포·무관용 원칙'으로 반드시 책임을 묻겠다"고 밝혔다.
