브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘은 3일 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 한국에 25% 상호관세를 부과한 것과 관련 "글로벌 통상질서가 흔들리는 가운데, 수출 의존도가 높은 한국 경제는 심각한 위기에 직면해 있다"고 우려를 표했다.
국민의힘 신동욱 수석대변인은 3일 논평을 통해 “트럼프 미국 대통령이 ‘상호 관세’ 조치를 발표하면서 중대한 ‘통상 위기’가 발생했다”며 이같이 밝혔다.
신 수석대변인은 “이러한 상황에서 정부는 민관 합동 TF를 가동하고, 기업들도 무역 현장 최전선에서 총력을 기울이고 있다”며 “미국이 한국산 제품에 25%의 관세를 부과하겠다고 밝힌 가운데, 여야가 초당적으로 대응해도 모자랄 시점에 민주당은 대통령 탄핵심판 선고 전날까지도 정쟁에만 몰두하고 있다”고 비판했다.
그는 이어 “나라가 ‘통상 위기’에 휘말렸을 때, 민주당은 경제부총리 탄핵안을 밀어붙이며 철야 농성과 탄핵 정국에만 열을 올렸다”며 “지금은 정쟁이 아니라 국익을 지키기 위한 ‘전방위 협상의 시간’이다. 탄핵 정치로 인해 경제 컨트롤타워가 흔들려서는 안 된다. 대한민국이 통상 위기 앞에서 제대로 된 목소리를 내야 한다”고 강조했다.
