[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 문화관광 인프라 추가 조성을 차분히 이어가고 있다.
김해의 새 명소가 될 것으로 기대되는 시립김영원미술관, 김해천문대 모노레일, 와인동굴 새 전시공간, 허왕후 기념공원, 국립김해숲체원 중 빠른 곳은 올해, 늦어도 내년에는 모두 운영에 들어간다.

한국 조각계 거장의 작품들을 만날 수 있다는 점에서 김해시립김영원미술관은 단연 주목된다.
이곳은 서울 광화문 세종대왕 동상을 만든 김영원 작가의 작품이 마중물이 될 미술관으로 2024년 전국체전 개·폐회식이 열린 김해종합운동장 안에 들어선다.
진영읍 한얼중·고를 졸업한 김 작가는 홍익대 조소과 교수를 지낸 조각계 거장으로 지난 2022~2024년 김해시에 자신의 작품들을 기증했다.
미술관은 80억원을 투입해 종합운동장 지하 2~5층에 4개 층(연면적 5,760㎡) 규모로 조성된다.
세종대왕 원형이 전시될 지하 2~3층은 증축 계획으로 올 4월 착공해 10월 준공 예정이다.
미술관 전시시설 조성은 실시설계를 거쳐 오는 7월 착공, 내년 2월 준공 예정으로 1개월간의 시범 운영을 거쳐 3월 개관 예정이다.
200억원대가 넘을 것으로 추청되는 김 작가 기증작 258점은 지하 5층 수장고, 상설전시관에 보관, 전시된다. 지하 4층은 다양한 미술 전시가 개최될 기획전시관, 도서관으로 사용된다.

이와 함께 김해 첫 모노레일이 가야테마파크를 배경으로 개장을 앞두고 있다.
김해시는 가야테마파크 주차장과 산 정상 김해천문대 사이 453m 구간에 모노레일을 놓는 '김해천문대 하늘길 연결사업'을 내년 초 시범 운행을 목표로 추진 중이다.
2023년 말 착공해 2026년 상반기 정상 운영에 들어갈 예정이다.
경사로를 걸어서 이동해야 하는 구간을 모노레일을 타고 9분 이내 편리하게 접근할 수 있어 특히 야간에 김해천문대를 찾는 방문객들과 교통약자에게 편리한 접근성과 색다른 경험을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

김해시는 낙동강레일파크 내 와인동굴(480m) 잔여구간 200m에 45억원을 투입해 미디어 영상을 접목한 콘텐츠 전시공간 설치를 5월까지 마무리할 예정이다.
생림면 마사리 옛 낙동철교에 위치한 낙동강레일파크는 지난해 10월 강 건너 밀양 삼랑진에 레일바이크 하차장 증설과 기존 바이크 34대 전동화에 이어 이번 사업까지 볼거리와 즐길거리를 대폭 보강해 보다 많은 관광객을 유치할 수 있을 전망이다.
특히 이 사업들은 인접한 밀양시 디지털전망대(삼랑진)와 동시 추진한 연계협력사업으로 시너지 효과가 기대된다.

서낙동강변 허왕후 기념공원은 내년 6월 말 준공 예정이다.
