브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 김동연 경기도지사가 9일 제21대 대통령 선거 출마를 선언했다.
더불어민주당 내에서 비명계(비이재명)로 분류되는 김동연 지사는 이날 오전 인천국제공항에서 미국 출장길에 오르기 전 기자회견을 열고 "저 김동연의, '모두의 나라, 내 삶의 선진국'을 향한 '유쾌한 반란'을 이제 시작한다. 함께 해달라"며 대선출마를 공식화했다.
그는 "이번 대통령 선거는 대한민국이 과거로 돌아갈 것이냐, 미래로 나아갈 것이냐를 결정하는 선거가 될 것"이라며 "정권교체만으로는 안된다. 그 이상의 교체가 필요하다"고 강조했다.
이어 "1998년 외환위기, 2008년 금융위기, 2017년 탄핵 후 첫 경제부총리, 저에겐 경제위기 때마다 해결한 경험과 노하우가 있다. 30년 넘게 쌓은 국제무대에서의 경험과 네트워크가 있다"며 "제가 잘 할 수 있고 제가 꼭 해야 한다는 생각으로 '대한민국의 유쾌한 반란'을 일으키겠다"고 했다.
김 지사는 "포퓰리즘 정책은 하지 않겠다"며 "무책임하게 감세를 남발하는 정책을 펴지 않겠다. 국민 앞에서도 국제적으로도 정직하고 당당한 대통령이 되겠다"고 말했다.
그는 아울러 "저는 계파도 조직도 없다. 정치공학도 잘 모른다. 하지만 나라를 걱정하는 국민이 저의 계파고, 경제를 걱정하는 국민이 저의 조직"이라며 자신에게 힘을 실어 줄 것을 촉구했다.
