세종특별자치시와 충청북도가 고향사랑기부제 활성화를 위한 협력을 강화하기로 했다.
세종특별자치시의 최민호 시장은 9일 세종시청 4층 세종책문화센터에서 열린 회의에서 충청북도와 고향사랑기부제 활성화를 위한 상호 협력 방안을 논의했다.
이번 협력은 지난해 출범한 충청광역연합을 계기로 이루어졌다. 이 연합은 충청권의 상생과 우호 증진을 목표로 하고 있으며, 두 지역은 이를 실현하기 위한 첫걸음으로 고향사랑기부제 활성화에 나서게 됐다.
세종시 자치행정국의 이상호 국장과 충북도 행정국의 최병희 국장은 이날 회의에서 두 기관의 주요 행사에서 상호 홍보 활동을 강화하고, 기부금을 늘리기 위한 방안을 모색하기로 했다.
양 기관은 지난 3월 20일부터 31일까지 고향사랑이(e)음 기부 누리집을 통해 자발적인 기부를 진행하며, 이번 협력의 초석을 다졌다. 특히, 두 기관의 간부 공무원들과 직원들이 적극적으로 참여해 기부에 나섰다.
앞으로 두 기관은 기부 사업 발굴, 답례품 실적 제고 등 다양한 분야에서 경험과 노하우를 공유하며 기부 문화 확산을 위해 힘쓸 예정이다. 또한, 세액 공제 혜택을 홍보하여 직원들에게 ‘기부하지 않으면 손해’라는 인식을 심어 자발적인 참여를 유도할 계획이다.
이상호 자치행정국장은 “고향사랑기부제의 활성화는 한 지역만의 노력으로는 한계가 있기 때문에, 여러 지자체가 협력하는 것이 중요하다”며, “충북도와의 협력에 감사드리며 두 지역의 상호 발전을 위해 지속적으로 노력하자”고 밝혔다.
