세종시, 지하굴착공사장 안전 점검 실시

세종특별자치시가 16일 지하굴착공사장을 대상으로 전문가와 함께 특별점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 점검은 최근 서울, 부산, 광명 등지에서 발생한 땅꺼짐 사고로 인해 시민들의 불안이 커짐에 따라 안전 확보를 위한 조치로 진행됐다.

점검 대상은 지하안전영향평가를 통과한 관내 건설현장 중, 현재 지하굴착 공사가 진행 중인 국립박물관단지와 행복도시 3생활권 광장주차장이다. 

국립박물관단지는 2024년 4월, 행복도시 3생활권 광장주차장은 2022년 8월 각각 지하안전영향평가를 받았다.

세종시는 점검의 전문성을 높이기 위해 지하안전 전문가와 협력하여 공사 현장의 굴착 방식과 땅꺼짐 예방을 위한 안전 관리 사항을 집중적으로 점검했다.

세종시는 앞으로도 지하굴착공사 현장을 대상으로 전문가와의 합동 점검을 지속적으로 실시하여 땅꺼짐 사고 예방에 힘쓸 계획이다. 

고성진 시민안전실장은 점검 현장에서 “최근 굴착공사장 인근에서 땅꺼짐 사고가 빈발하고 있는 만큼, 공사장과 주변 지역 관리에 만전을 기할 것”을 강조했다.

Sejong City Conducts Safety Inspection of Underground Excavation Site

Sejong Special Self-Governing City announced on the 16th that it conducted a special inspection with experts on an underground excavation site.

This inspection was conducted as a measure to ensure safety as citizens’ anxiety has grown due to recent ground subsidence accidents in Seoul, Busan, Gwangmyeong, etc.

The inspection targets are the National Museum Complex and the Happy City 3rd Living Zone Plaza Parking Lot, which are currently undergoing underground excavation work among the construction sites in the city that have passed the underground safety impact assessment.

The National Museum Complex received the underground safety impact assessment in April 2024, and the Happy City 3rd Living Zone Plaza Parking Lot in August 2022.

In order to increase the expertise of the inspection, Sejong City cooperated with underground safety experts to intensively inspect the excavation method and safety management items for preventing ground subsidence at the construction site.

Sejong City plans to continue conducting joint inspections with experts on underground excavation sites in the future to prevent ground subsidence accidents.

At the inspection site, Ko Seong-jin, Director of the Citizen Safety Office, emphasized, “As there have been frequent ground subsidence accidents near excavation sites recently, we will do our best to manage the construction site and surrounding areas.”
