충남 서산시는 16일 서산교육지원청에서 열린 학부모총회에서 전동킥보드 이용 안전수칙을 홍보하며 올바른 이용 문화를 정착시키기 위한 노력을 기울였다.
이번 홍보 활동은 학생들의 교통사고를 예방하기 위해 마련되었으며, 관내 초중고등학교 및 특수학교의 학부모회장 50여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다. 서산시는 학생들에게 전동킥보드 이용 시 안전수칙을 철저히 준수할 것을 당부했다.
홍보물에는 전동킥보드의 무질서한 주차 금지 안내와 도로교통법 위반 시 부과되는 범칙금에 대한 정보가 포함되어 있었다. 전동킥보드를 이용하기 위해서는 원동기장치자전거 이상의 면허증이 필요하며, 안전모를 착용하고 동승자 없이 교통법규를 준수해야 한다.
면허증이 없는 경우에는 10만 원의 범칙금이 부과되며, 안전모를 착용하지 않을 경우 2만 원, 동승자가 탑승할 경우에는 4만 원의 범칙금이 각각 부과된다.
