충남 보령시가 여름철 해수욕장 운영을 앞두고 관광객들의 안전 확보를 위한 본격적인 준비에 돌입했다.
시는 지난 22일 재난안전상황실에서 대천해수욕장 물놀이 사고 방지를 위한 유관기관 관계자 회의를 개최하며, 체계적인 안전관리 계획을 점검하고 대응 전략을 논의했다.
이날 회의에는 시 안전총괄과를 비롯해 보령소방서, 적십자인명구조대, 수중핀협회, 해양구조협회 등 지역 내 주요 구조·안전 기관 관계자 13명이 참석해 협업 체계를 강화하는 방안에 대해 의견을 나눴다.
시는 오는 7월 5일 대천해수욕장과 보령머드축제 개막을 앞두고, 연일 몰려들 관광객을 대비한 안전대책을 본격 가동할 예정이다. 해수욕장 운영 기간 동안 구조 활동에 투입될 수상 오토바이 11대, 사륜 구급차량 8대, 트랙터 2대, 구조 전용 보트 1대를 현장에 배치하고, 일 평균 122명의 대응 인력과 80명의 물놀이 안전요원을 집중 투입할 계획이다.
특히 야간 시간대까지 이어지는 입욕 활동에 대비해 계도 활동과 긴급 상황 대응을 강화하며, 구조 활동의 실효성을 높일 방침이다.
