[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 오는 5월 개최 예정인 ‘제24회 진주논개제’의 성공적인 개최를 위한 준비상황을 점검하고 진주논개제 추진상황 보고회를 개최했다고 24일 밝혔다.
이날 보고회에는 조규일 진주시장을 비롯해 주관단체, 유관기관 관계자, 담당 공무원 등 40여 명이 참석해 전반적인 축제 준비 현황을 공유하고, 문제점과 개선 방안에 대해 논의됐다.
또 진주시는 5월 황금연휴로 대규모 인파가 몰릴 것으로 보고, 종합 안전관리 대책을 수립 중이며, 임시주차장 조성과 유관기관과의 협력 체계를 강화하고 있다.
올해로 24회를 맞는 진주논개제는 오는 5월 3일부터 6일까지 4일간 진주성과 진주대첩 역사공원 일원에서 열릴 예정이며, 첫날 ‘의암별제’를 시작으로 다채로운 프로그램이 계획돼 있다.
특히 시는 80여 명의 시민이 참여하는 진주검무 플래시몹, 5월 중 10회에 걸쳐 선보일 실경역사뮤지컬 의기논개, 제2회 전국교방문화 대제전 등 다채로운 볼거리와 체험거리를 제공할 예정이다.
